"Koseli"- which translates as "gift" in Nepali language- is inspired from different ethnic attires in Nepal. The Koseli Collection is about celebrating centuries old traditions of making, adorning, and wearing colours and patterns, and the beautiful sense of design and ornaments of different ethnic groups.
-Developed this concept for BFA Graduation Project 2014
I deconstructed the colours and patterns of cultural dresses of Thakali, Tharu, Nyinba, Gurung, Tamang, Newar, Sunuwar and Rai people of Nepal and explored possibilities of adapting the colours and textures for everyday use on different products such as notebook, jewelery, and ceramics.
